57th Hochfügener Rope Race

The Rope Race is to Hochfügen what winter sports are to Zillertal. It is simply impossible to imagine these places without them. For more than 50 years now, the race has involved teams of three skiers tying themselves together with a rope and racing down a track. 2019, however, the legendary race experienced a make-over. The race moved to the Lamark slope, which also allowed the spectators to witness the event live. In addition, skicross elements made for even more suspense and made possible spectacular and entertaining stunts.

This updated version of the Rope Race proved a great success and we are naturally delighted! Again we had stunning weather for the race, with Michaela Dorfmeister triumphing in the legendary competition ahead of Martina Ert-Renz and Stephan Eberharter.

The legendary Rope Race will be held once more in 2020 and we would be happy to welcome you all back! The 57th Rope Race will take place on the last weekend of March, from 28 to 29 March 2020. In addition to the Rope Race, you can expect a varied event schedule with something for all ages. There will be even more highlights than this year. So make sure you make a note of the date in your calendar!
